About the Role
Calix is looking for a motivated and talented Graduate Trainee with a strong foundation in programming and data engineering concepts. This internship is ideal for recent engineering graduates who are eager to learn and gain hands-on experience with modern technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze requirements.
- Assist in designing and developing scalable and reliable data pipelines.
- Work with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, AWS, and GCP.
- Clean, transform, and aggregate data from multiple sources into usable formats.
- Develop and maintain data processing pipelines for large datasets.
- Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance and reliability.
- Document processes and procedures for internal use.
Qualifications
- Graduated in 2024 or 2025 with BE/BTech in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of data engineering concepts and tools such as Hadoop, Apache Spark, Presto, Dataflow, DataStream.
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions like Google BigQuery.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala, Java, or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
