About the Role

Goldman Sachs is hiring for the role of Software Engineering Associate in the Global Banking & Markets division. As part of the Futures Technology Engineering team, you will contribute to a high-impact, fast-paced front-office environment. This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about onboarding clients into electronic trading systems and possess solid technical capabilities.

You will act as the primary point of contact for onboarding both internal and external clients, ensuring a smooth and efficient go-live process. You will engage in tasks such as gathering requirements, evaluating technical specifications, configuring systems for specific clients, managing capacity and throughput, coordinating testing, and facilitating deployments. This role requires direct collaboration with clients, vendors, trading desks, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end client onboarding process from initial request to production deployment
• Gather and evaluate business and technical requirements for electronic trading platforms
• Manage client-specific configurations, throughput, and testing
• Coordinate across multiple stakeholders including trading desks, internal teams, and vendors
• Enhance and streamline existing processes, tools, and systems related to onboarding
• Participate in the implementation of electronic trading systems for global clients

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proven experience in electronic trading client onboarding
• Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol including certification and testing
• Excellent communication skills, especially with external stakeholders
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux environments
• Solid understanding of SQL and database systems
• Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, connectivity, and firewalls
• Experience with scripting or programming for automation and configuration
• Exposure to asset classes such as Equities, Futures, Options, or FX
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Knowledge of version control and software release systems is a plus
