Job Description
Global Payments is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join its Pune-based development team. As an entry-level engineer, you will contribute to software solutions by writing, testing, and maintaining code using modern technologies and frameworks. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle, gaining exposure to both frontend and backend systems while learning industry best practices including security and compliance standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Write basic code using front-end or back-end technologies based on specifications
- Assist in debugging, testing, and validating applications
- Contribute to application documentation and development plans
- Gain familiarity with secure coding practices and industry compliance standards (e.g., PCI)
- Work collaboratively with internal teams on technical deliverables
- Learn and apply company policies and development procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- No prior professional experience required
- Exposure to at least two programming languages or technologies
- Basic understanding of APIs, relational and NoSQL databases
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on academic or internship experience with application development
- Familiarity with modern development tools and environments
- Interest in data structures, algorithms, and system design
