Genpact is Hiring Infrastructure Engineer (Bangalore)

About the Role

Genpact is looking for an Infrastructure Services Engineer to support AI and digital infrastructure for global enterprise clients. The role combines hands-on data center work with customer delivery and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Vulnerability and patch management: Run regular scans, analyze findings, prioritize remediation by risk and criticality, deploy patches and configuration fixes, validate closure through re-scans, and document results in ServiceNow change and incident records.
• Application and platform support: Install and administer MATLAB enterprise applications and Docker and Python application stacks in Linux environments.
• Data center hardware and remote management: Configure and operate HPE/Dell rack and blade servers, including iLO and remote administration, routine health checks, and hands-on physical data center support. Raise VMS requests and escort vendors into the data center as required.
• Daily physical inspections: Walk through data center infrastructure daily (servers, racks and cabling, storage, power and UPS, cooling, and environmental indicators), check system health and alerts, identify risks early, and log and escalate issues to the right teams.
• Customer reporting: Prepare and deliver reports as per customer requirements, such as outage summaries, incident trends, compliance and vulnerability status, patching progress, capacity and utilization, and operational health. Ensure accuracy, on-time delivery, and clear communication of actions, risks, and next steps.
• Storage and backup operations: Working knowledge of NAS/SAN, MSA-DAS and disk enclosures, SAN switches, and enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp and Dell EMC. Support tape operations, including inbound and outbound tape movement.
• Customer delivery and teamwork: Gather customer requirements, propose solutions, work across teams to deliver data center infrastructure and new services, and provide advanced troubleshooting and user support.
• Networking fundamentals and work model: Working knowledge of HTTP, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, RAID, and basic networking and routing. This is a daily onsite role with some on-call and weekend availability.
• Automation: Automate OS deployment and hardening for Windows, RHEL, and Ubuntu.
• ITIL and ServiceNow operations: Plan and execute scheduled outages, manage incidents and tickets, and handle lifecycle and decommission activities in line with ITIL using ServiceNow.
