Role Summary
Gartner is hiring for the position of Associate Software Engineer - ML. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable MLOps solutions. You will collaborate with data scientists to bring machine learning models to production, focusing on performance, reliability, and automation. This role requires hands-on development using Python and Spark, with strong knowledge of AWS and modern deployment practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ML inference and data pipelines using AWS services like S3, EMR, Glue, and Athena
- Build and manage RESTful APIs with FastAPI and Django
- Deploy and optimize ML models on SageMaker and EKS
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and manage continuous integration/deployment workflows
- Ensure high performance, scalability, and maintainability of APIs
- Work closely with product managers, data scientists, and engineering teams to support seamless ML operations
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions
- Communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience in developing data and MLOps pipelines
- Proficiency in Python; familiarity with Spark is a plus
- Experience developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI or Django
- Practical knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
- Experience deploying machine learning models on AWS SageMaker
- Hands-on with IaC tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
