Job Summary

Flex is looking to add a Junior Engineer - Quality in Pune to support its teams that build products and contribute to company growth. In this role, you will maintain quality engineering programs, standards and improvements across the organization.

What a typical day looks like

• Carry out supplier validation audits with supplier support, including supplier advanced product quality planning (APQP)
• Lead the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing and technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks
• Support new product launches to make sure supplier quality meets the required standards
• Follow up with suppliers on root cause analysis and corrective actions for supplier quality issues
• Make on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and to verify corrective actions
• Review supplier manufacturing processes and work with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement
• Promote customer preferred continuous improvement techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
• Escalate unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers
• Support the Quality Manager in monitoring and reporting on supplier product quality and performance
• Manage and coordinate supplier material and non-material cost recovery for supplier quality issues
• Support internal and external audit readiness
• Take on special projects as required

The experience we are looking for

• 0 to 1 year of strong knowledge of quality
• B.E/B.Tech (E&TC, EEE, Mech)
• Knowledge of APQP, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
• Lean Manufacturing knowledge
• Knowledge of quality and business systems
• Knowledge of TS16949
• Knowledge of ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001 and understanding of ISO 14001
• Knowledge of measurement techniques
• Willingness to work night shift
