Job Overview
Emerson is hiring a Financial Analyst to support finance operations and reporting activities within its Financial Services Group in Pune. The role involves financial analysis, reporting, dashboard updates, and participation in process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end closing activities and related financial reporting tasks.
- Prepare and publish weekly flash reports covering sales, bookings, and backlog performance.
- Generate and analyze cost center reports and provide supporting commentary.
- Prepare and analyze centralized financial reports.
- Support automation initiatives and drive continuous improvement in existing finance processes.
- Refresh and publish Power BI dashboards.
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet schedules along with supporting documentation.
- Create and distribute MIS reports.
- Act as a backup within the team when required.
- Support internal and external audit activities.
- Handle ad-hoc reporting requests and financial analysis tasks.
- Promote continuous improvement practices across the group.
Candidate Profile
The role requires individuals who can contribute effectively in a collaborative environment and adapt quickly to evolving situations. Candidates should be comfortable making informed decisions, gathering relevant inputs, and managing uncertainty while maintaining strong reporting quality.
Preferred Knowledge
- Understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP.
- Experience with reporting tools and automation technologies.
- Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
