Job Details
This role involves working with team members to understand requirements and improve testing environments throughout the software development lifecycle. Engineers I handle moderately complex testing tasks, assist in designing test environments, create test plans, and monitor quality KPIs.
Responsibilities
- Support requirement reviews and sprint planning sessions
- Assist in translating business/technical requirements into test cases
- Help evaluate testability of requirements based on documentation
- Set up and maintain test environments for manual/automated testing
- Execute test charters and analyze results
- Use automated testing suites and explore edge cases
- Gather test data, assign severity levels, and document system responses
- Perform initial defect analysis and root cause investigation
- Generate metric reports for leadership review
- Maintain automation scripts and test reports
- Conduct tests to ensure software meets standards
- Recommend improvements to testing strategies
- Monitor testing process metrics for continuous improvement
- Collaborate with engineers to modernize testing tools
