Role Summary

The Engineer Associate will plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing processes involving machining, assembly, and testing. This role involves developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials, fabrication processes, tooling, and production. The position will focus on improving quality, cost, and delivery through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, while providing engineering support to production departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and justify project and capital equipment proposals, manage acquisition and installation, and ensure goals are met.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Supervisors to meet company objectives.
• Specify and procure factory supplies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure CNC programs are available to support new product and customer requirements.
• Assist in training operators in CNC programming and tooling skills.
• Maintain availability of tooling and fixtures to meet customer demand.
• Troubleshoot processes and equipment to minimize production delays.
• Assist in developing profit and strategic manufacturing plans.
• Track capital projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
• Stay updated on developments in machine tool equipment, tooling, anethods, and recommend innovative solutions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and environmental policies.
• Demonstrate teamwork and professionalism in all interactions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading cost reduction initiatives in manufacturing using Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, safety rules, and technical documents.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in advanced geometry, trigonometry, algebra, and statistical theory.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical instructions.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
