Overview

Role Summary

The internship with Lilly’s Competitive Intelligence team (LCCI) provides an excellent opportunity to work with global CI & analytics experts, focusing on gathering and interpreting data from various sources to support portfolio decisions and strategic insights. Interns will engage in intelligence gathering, data visualization, report generation, and contribute to decision-making processes across therapeutic areas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Competitive Intelligence Surveillance
    Scout and analyze secondary data sources (open/subscription-based) to identify >90% of relevant updates from the competitive environment.
  • Reports and Landscape Analysis
    Contribute to the creation of Ad-hoc Reports, Target Reports (TR), and Disease Landscapes (DL) through structured data scouting under team guidance.
  • Conference Monitoring
    Assist in developing conference agendas and timely upload of content for stakeholder access.
  • IR Call Shadowing
    Observe Investor Relations (IR) calls and manage document uploads to internal platforms like SharePoint.
  • Database Management
    Maintain and regularly update target and disease landscape databases to support informed decision-making.
  • Data Visualization
    Use Excel and PowerPoint to present data clearly. Ability to interpret clinical and scientific data accurately is essential.
  • Industry Knowledge
    Understand fundamental concepts of drug development, clinical trials, and pharmaceutical R&D.
  • Attention to Detail
    Ensure all data collection, processing, and reporting tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Pharmacy or Life Sciences
  • Candidates with M.E/M.Sc/M.Tech in Biotechnology are preferred
  • Coursework should ideally include immunology and genetic engineering

Preferred Additional Exposure

  • Understanding of Intellectual Property Rights is a plus
