About the Role
Ecolab is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic technology team in Bangalore. As part of a global leader in water, hygiene, and energy technologies, you will work on cutting-edge solutions that drive real-world impact. You’ll contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining mobile and backend systems that scale across diverse environments, leveraging the Microsoft technology stack and Azure cloud services.
This role demands a blend of technical expertise, a passion for innovation, and strong collaboration skills. You’ll be involved in end-to-end software development, playing a key role in building robust, scalable, and high-performing enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and support cross-platform mobile applications using .NET MAUI
- Implement and manage offline data synchronization for mobile-first solutions
- Design high-performance mobile apps handling large volumes of structured data
- Build and integrate secure, scalable, and well-documented RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core / .NET Core
- Collaborate with UI/UX teams to develop accessible and intuitive user interfaces
- Promote clean code practices through code reviews, refactoring, and architectural improvements
- Ensure high-quality deliverables via unit testing, integration testing, and CI/CD automation
- Actively participate in Agile development including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Utilize Azure services for deployment, monitoring, identity, and hosting
- Use Azure DevOps for version control, pipelines, work tracking, and testing workflows
- Work closely with QA engineers to establish test strategies and maintain software reliability
- Collaborate with backend architects and product managers on scalable feature design
- Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring for production systems
- Perform performance tuning, SQL optimization, and data modeling for backend systems
- Ensure compliance with security best practices, including authentication, encryption, and authorization
