
In this entry-level position, the employee's primary duty involves writing code that meets project requirements and complies with documentation and design standards. The role assists in writing the standard documentation used to translate project needs into software design specifications. It also involves assisting in correcting defects identified through QA software testing and systems testing. Employees will learn about the roles played by software engineers in higher grades, with activities contributing to reliable code and documentation.
This role works under supervision on assigned tasks or portions of projects. The Associate Software Engineer typically reports to a Security Manager or a more senior technical leader.
