What You Will Do

This role is for an Associate Engineer - Mechanical in Pune, India, within the Research & Development Engineering department. The primary responsibility is to develop simulation models for mechanical systems and assemblies used in electrical products, using ANSYS and allied software.

• Collaborate with technology and product teams to drive analysis for first deployment.
• Understand the product and evaluate requirements (CTQs) for systems, sub-systems and components with internal and external customers.
• Deploy digital prototype methodologies to predict structural and thermal performance against CTQs and requirements.
• Interpret, summarize and communicate simulation results to local and global audiences, and provide technical or design recommendations.
• Study product information to perform analytical calculations and simulations that verify the design.
• Partner with India and global teams to understand design intent, and develop and validate simulation models.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deepen understanding of existing simulation methodologies and help mature them further.
