The CA Intern role offers exposure to financial reporting, accounting processes, and corporate finance operations within a global banking environment. Interns work closely with teams to support reporting cycles, financial analysis, and compliance requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support head office reporting activities including P&L, balance sheet preparation, and related disclosures (CAT I, II & III and HGB).
  • Assist with IUC accounting and reporting at both local and group levels.
  • Prepare management reporting materials such as board packs and country packs.
  • Perform MRP processes and reconciliations.
  • Handle additional reporting tasks including FX reporting and tax movement schedules.
  • Respond to internal and external audit queries and provide necessary documentation.
  • Validate and reconcile financial data within the BCS system.
  • Perform statistical uploads and disclosures using BCS.
  • Escalate process, system, or client related issues to the reporting manager when necessary.
  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and yearly forms within defined head office deadlines.
  • Follow the four-eye principle across key deliverables and financial processes.
  • Ensure adherence to process checklists and internal controls.
  • Identify control weaknesses and assist in implementing improvements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Support additional assignments delegated by the team manager.
  • Contribute to global projects when required.

Exposure and Skills

  • Exposure to financial and management reporting processes.
  • Strong accounting fundamentals.
  • Understanding of SAP system architecture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of IFRS standards.
