Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Scientist Intern with strong statistical expertise to join our team in Gurgaon. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to analyze complex datasets, develop predictive models, and deliver actionable insights that support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply statistical models to analyze business data.
• Design experiments, perform hypothesis testing, and interpret results.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to clean and process large datasets.
• Build predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
• Create clear and impactful data visualizations and reports.
• Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to guide strategic decisions.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity in statistical analyses.
• Stay updated with emerging statistical tools and methods.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on statistical best practices.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in R or Python for statistical programming.
• Strong understanding of regression, hypothesis testing, and probability theory.
• Experience with machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Data visualization skills using tools like Tableau, Power BI, ggplot2, or Matplotlib.
• Knowledge of SQL and database management.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and manage time effectively.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field. 0-2 years of experience in data science, statistics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Applied statistics experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or retail.
• Knowledge of Bayesian statistics and advanced methods.
• Experience with unstructured data and text analysis.
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
