Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Engineer Intern to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. The selected candidate will work on building and optimizing data infrastructure that powers our products and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement efficient data pipelines and ETL processes ensuring high data quality and integrity.
• Develop core components of the Data Platform including Data Lakehouse, Query infrastructure, and Event Streaming systems.
• Monitor and enhance the performance and reliability of data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs for data models and pipelines.

Must-Have Qualifications

• B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Previous internship experience in a product-based company or startup.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Python or GoLang.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling fundamentals.
• Experience with analytical databases, data warehousing, and data integration.
• Familiarity with ETL concepts and structured data formats such as CSV, JSON, Avro, and Parquet.
• Working knowledge of AWS.
• Contributions to open-source projects or participation in GSoC.
