Job Description

Cornerstone OnDemand is hiring a Junior Engineer to join our team at our Mumbai office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment with some of the world’s most innovative organizations.

As a Junior Software Engineer, you’ll be actively involved in designing, coding, and delivering scalable software solutions. You’ll collaborate with various teams to meet user expectations, contribute to every stage of the development cycle, and constantly explore new ways to improve quality, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze defined specifications and develop detailed design documentation.
• Write clean, testable code and perform unit testing and debugging of moderately complex features.
• Automate quality initiatives to enhance product reliability and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Assist in estimation and planning of deliverables.
• Engage in requirement and design review discussions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as support, services, and product management when necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Recent graduates with a passion for learning are encouraged to apply.
• Solid programming knowledge in Java/Kotlin or Objective C/Swift.
• Strong understanding of Spring framework fundamentals.
• Good grasp of Android/iOS design patterns, lifecycle, and development fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Android/iOS libraries and ecosystems.
• Knowledge of advanced web development platforms and frameworks; Java EE is a plus.
• Understanding of transactional systems and relational databases (RDBMS).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience or familiarity with Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
• Team-oriented mindset with collaborative work ethic.
