Job Summary

The Development Engineer 1 is responsible for planning and designing software and web applications. The role involves coding, implementing, testing, and debugging defined software components as part of the development lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

• Review, write, and edit code while conducting analysis to determine system integration requirements.
• Prepare and maintain documentation including technical requirements, software design evaluations, test results, and manuals.
• Research existing technologies, patents, and industry practices related to assigned projects.
• Monitor and evaluate competing applications and products.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to confirm applications meet technical specifications and functional requirements.
• Apply engineering methodologies relevant to the assigned engineering discipline.
• Demonstrate understanding of engineering concepts and apply them effectively in the development process.
• Use process design and redesign techniques where needed.
• Exercise independent judgment and decision making in matters of importance.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance and support variable schedules, including nights, weekends, or overtime when required.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
