Overview
The Technology Summer Analyst participates in a one year rotational program designed to provide training and hands on experience across technology teams at Citi. The program introduces participants to real project work and helps them build the skills required for a long term career with the organization.
During the program, analysts contribute to ongoing initiatives, gain exposure to engineering practices, and work closely with experienced professionals who provide mentorship and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in projects that use core technologies across frontend, backend, and database systems.
- Apply foundational knowledge while contributing to development tasks and technical initiatives.
- Work with team members to solve technical challenges and deliver practical solutions.
- Collaborate within an engineering team to design and build innovative features.
- Help troubleshoot complex technical issues and support continuous improvement of systems.
- Share new ideas and perspectives that support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Receive mentorship from experienced engineers and develop professional and technical capabilities.
Technical Environment
- Frontend: HTML, CSS, React with React Responsive and Material UI components
- Backend: Python
- Database: MongoDB
- Version Control: Git, GitHub
Optional exposure includes infrastructure tools such as Terraform and deployment using shell scripts. The primary deployment environment targets AWS serverless services including S3, CloudFront, Lambda, and DocumentDB.
