Overview
The Securities & Derivatives Analyst role involves processing orders and transactions received from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The position focuses on managing the clearing, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities
- Verify trades to ensure the accuracy of booking requests.
- Create and match trade confirmations using International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates.
- Complete settlement activities and perform daily rate revaluations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate transaction processing issues with the appropriate teams and assist in resolving them.
- Conduct regulatory control checks, account reconciliations, and maintain records in line with established policies.
- Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports.
- Provide informal guidance and on-the-job training to new team members.
- Participate in periodic General Ledger proofing exercises when required.
- Assess risk appropriately during business decisions while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, and escalate control issues with transparency.
Qualifications
- Relevant experience in a related field is preferred.
- Basic understanding of settlement cycle concepts.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
