Citi Hiring Loan Documentation & Processing Analyst | Pune

The Loan Documentation and Processing Analyst 1 is an entry level professional role responsible for supporting loan documentation and operational processes. The position requires a working knowledge of the procedures, systems, and processes used to perform assigned tasks, along with a basic understanding of the underlying concepts involved in loan operations.

This role contributes to the quality and accuracy of operational tasks within the team. Decisions are generally based on analysis of factual information and established procedures. The position may also involve resolving routine issues by applying learned technical knowledge and referencing existing precedents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review loan documentation while supporting various activities within the loan processing lifecycle.
• Independently process and close loans within a complex loan operations environment.
• Support day to day collateral management activities, including booking cash transactions, processing payments, posting general ledger entries, and performing calculations.
• Interact with counterparties regarding positions, balances, or outstanding claims when required.
• Follow established procedures to identify and resolve issues related to loan documentation or processing activities that require investigation.
• Assist with analyzing and preparing moderately complex loan documentation reports for management and control activities.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives by analyzing operational issues and recommending solutions.
• Monitor procedural requirements and help minimize operational risk by adhering to audit and control policies.
• Manage and escalate inquiries or issues related to loan processing in a timely manner.
• Maintain awareness of how tasks integrate with team processes and related operational units.
• Interact with internal teams and external customers to provide or clarify information when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while safeguarding the firm’s assets and reputation.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of business processes, systems, and tools used in loan processing.
• Familiarity with loan products, procedures, and related documentation requirements.
• Awareness of risk identification, issue escalation, and operational control processes.
• Ability to support preparation, review, and management of loan documentation.
• Understanding of regulatory and policy compliance within financial services operations.

Education

• Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent practical experience.
