The Loan Documentation and Processing Analyst 1 is an entry level professional role. The position requires a working knowledge of processes, procedures, and systems used to complete assigned tasks, along with a basic understanding of the underlying concepts involved in loan operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review loan documentation while supporting various activities throughout the loan lifecycle.
• Process and close loans independently within a complex loan operations environment.
• Handle daily collateral management tasks such as booking cash transactions, making payments, entering general ledger records, and performing calculations.
• Interact with counterparties when necessary regarding positions, balances, or outstanding claims.
• Support a diverse set of products and services within the loan operations framework.
• Follow established procedures to investigate and resolve issues related to loan documentation or processing activities.
• Prepare and analyze loan documentation reports for management requirements and operational controls.
• Assist with implementing improvements to loan documentation processes.
• Monitor operational errors, identify risks, and recommend process improvements while adhering to audit and control policies.
• Manage and escalate inquiries or issues related to loan processing in a timely manner.
• Maintain knowledge of bank systems, loan products, and operational procedures.
• Communicate with internal teams and external clients to provide or clarify information related to loan processing activities.
• Assess risk during business decisions and ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and internal control standards.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of experience.
• Basic knowledge of business processes, systems, and tools used in loan operations.
• Understanding of loan procedures, products, and services.
• Awareness of preparing, managing, and reviewing loan documentation.
• Ability to identify and escalate operational risks or issues.
• Knowledge of policies, risk controls, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Education

• Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent practical experience.
