Citi Hiring Data & Business Intelligence Specialist | Chennai

Citi is looking for a Data & Business Intelligence Specialist to support data analysis, business intelligence development, and process automation initiatives. The role focuses on building data solutions, producing meaningful visualizations, maintaining data quality, and implementing automation tools to improve operational efficiency and support informed decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis and Engineering

• Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines using Python and PySpark.
• Execute complex querying, data manipulation, and analysis using SQL and SAS to derive actionable insights.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand data needs and convert them into technical specifications.

Business Intelligence and Visualization

• Create and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Tableau.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of business intelligence solutions.
• Apply Tableau development best practices including data source optimization and performance tuning.

Data Quality and Governance

• Implement and maintain data quality standards and governance practices.
• Monitor datasets, detect inconsistencies, and apply corrective measures.
• Improve reliability and consistency across multiple data sources.

Business Process Automation

• Develop and support BPM applications using Appian.
• Use Xceptor for automated data capture, extraction, and processing.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and introduce automation for better efficiency.

Collaboration

• Work closely with cross functional teams including business stakeholders, IT teams, and data professionals.
• Communicate analytical insights and technical solutions clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.

Required Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and SAS for data analysis and manipulation.
• Hands on experience building Tableau dashboards and reports, including data modeling and advanced reporting.
• Experience developing applications with Appian.
• Familiarity with Xceptor for data extraction and automation tasks.

Experience

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in roles such as Data Analyst, SQL Developer, Tableau Developer, or similar positions.
• Exposure to data quality initiatives and governance frameworks is beneficial.

Additional Knowledge

• Understanding of analytical tools such as SAS E-miner, Knowledge Seeker, or SPSS.
• Exposure to big data or machine learning tools such as R or Python is useful.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative discipline. A master's degree is advantageous.

• Handle routine operational or administrative tasks related to reporting and data analysis.
• Prepare regular analytical outputs and reports following defined procedures.
