The Client organization at Citi is seeking a Full-Time Associate to join the Research team in Mumbai. Citi delivers financial products and financing solutions to corporations, governments, institutional investors, and retail clients worldwide. Its global platform, deep market expertise, and strong technology capabilities enable the firm to provide comprehensive solutions across currencies, sectors, asset classes, and geographies.

Your responsibilities

• Work with a research team covering a specific industry or macroeconomic area and contribute to daily associate-level responsibilities.
• Develop an understanding of financial markets and analyze trends to help produce research insights and recommendations.
• Collect, structure, and present information that supports analytical insights and solutions.
• Assist with projects such as economic data analysis, pricing surveys, industry trend research, valuation work, and company due diligence.
• Create and maintain financial spreadsheets, quantitative models, and databases for assigned companies.
• Update marketing materials and support ad hoc client requests.
• Observe and learn from Research Analysts by attending company meetings, industry discussions, and conferences.

Training and development

The program begins with structured training designed to introduce participants to Citi and the Research function. This includes an overview of internal processes and an introduction to Global Financial Markets.

Participants gain exposure to major business areas within an investment bank, learn about Citi's products and services, and take part in simulated trading and portfolio management exercises.

Candidate profile

• Graduating by 2026 and currently in the final year of study.
• Students from any discipline at a strong academic institution with a competitive GPA, graduating between January 2026 and May 2026.
• Ability to analyze information, identify trends, and interpret financial data.
• Comfortable managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and an interest in financial markets and industry research.
• Confidence when interacting with colleagues or clients and presenting insights clearly.
