Role Overview

The Cash and Trade Processing Analyst 1 is an intermediate-level position within the Transaction Services team. The role involves handling complex transactions and supporting operational processes related to payments, transfers, trade transactions, and wholesale card activity. The position also acts as a subject matter resource while ensuring transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Process regular, restricted, and legal transfers including payments, receivables, trade transactions, liquidity flows, and wholesale card activity.
  • Ensure transactions are handled efficiently while acting as a subject matter expert and suggesting process improvements where appropriate.
  • Analyze issues and recommend solutions using data analysis, technical understanding, and established precedents.
  • Respond to requests for deliverables from internal and external clients and vendors in a timely manner.
  • Participate in and support cash and trade operations related projects when required.
  • Develop understanding of how the cash and trade operations team collaborates with other departments to achieve objectives.
  • Assess risks when making business decisions and maintain compliance with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards while protecting Citi, its clients, and assets.
  • Handle or support SWIFT payment processing activities.
  • Be available to work early morning shifts when required.

Qualifications

  • Prior relevant experience is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of financial industry regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Analytical capability to evaluate and resolve operational issues.

Education

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
