Overview
Business Analytics Analyst
The Business Analytics Analyst 1 is a trainee-level professional role that requires a solid understanding of processes, procedures, and systems used to complete assigned work. The role involves applying basic business and technical concepts while supporting team objectives and making evaluative judgments based on factual analysis.
The position has a limited but direct business impact through the quality of work delivered. Candidates should be able to identify solutions using acquired technical knowledge and work under established guidelines and precedents.
Responsibilities
- Assist with solutions and implementation activities.
- Handle relatively complex and varied assignments.
- Demonstrate technical and administrative expertise.
- Apply specialized functional knowledge and technical principles in daily work.
- Maintain awareness of organizational policies and procedures.
- Assess risk appropriately while ensuring compliance with regulations, internal policies, and ethical business standards.
- Escalate and report control issues with transparency when required.
Qualifications
- Relevant prior experience is preferred.
- Ability to solve problems effectively.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Customer service understanding and support skills.
- Required technical skills include SAS, SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Experience in the banking or credit card industry is encouraged.
Education
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent practical experience.
