About Mumbai Industry Analytics Group (MIAG)
The Mumbai Industry Analytics Group works alongside Investment Banking teams that support corporate clients in achieving strategic goals. The team assists clients with important strategic decisions and transactions across industries.
Position Summary
As an Analyst, you will contribute to delivering value to clients through company and sector research, preparation of information memorandums, financial modelling and valuation analysis, and evaluation of potential buyers or investors. These analyses support client materials used by bankers for M&A, financing, and strategic advisory engagements.
The Analyst will be aligned to a particular sector and geography.
Responsibilities
- Conduct industry research and prepare market and sector overviews
- Analyze companies, including business operations, financial performance, and operational KPIs
- Perform valuation analysis using comparable companies and precedent transactions
- Create newsletters focused on industries or companies for senior management and strategic advisory purposes
- Work closely with the team to support clients on strategic decisions and transactions
Key Skills Required
- Strong interest in investment banking, economics, and finance
- Good understanding of accounting and corporate finance concepts
- Ability to approach tasks analytically with attention to detail
- Experience delivering client-ready work products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and contribute to knowledge sharing
- Interest in improving existing approaches through innovative thinking
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
