Overview
The Application Developer Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position that supports the development and enhancement of application systems in collaboration with the Technology team. The role focuses on contributing to application system analysis, programming, and ongoing improvements.
Responsibilities
- Use knowledge of application development procedures and technical concepts to identify and define required system enhancements.
- Investigate and analyze issues, recommend improvements, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Apply understanding of business processes, system workflows, and industry standards to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Review information and make evaluative judgments to propose system improvements.
- Perform testing and debugging activities, use scripting tools, and write basic code according to design specifications.
- Evaluate solutions based on similar experiences and consider available options when procedures do not cover the situation.
- Develop familiarity with Citi's information systems, standards, and operational areas such as client-server development, network operations, database administration, systems administration, and data center operations.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions while supporting compliance with regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with programming or debugging used in business applications.
- Working knowledge of industry practices and technical standards.
- Understanding of a business domain related to application development.
- Familiarity with programming languages used in software development.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal form.
