The Dashboard teams develop and maintain the web applications that manage millions of network devices from the cloud. The Meraki Dashboard helps customers monitor and configure critical IT infrastructure used by tens of millions of people each day.

As an engineer on the MX Dashboard team, you will contribute to building and improving customer facing experiences for MX SD-WAN and security capabilities within the Meraki Dashboard. The role involves working closely with firmware, backend, SRE, product, and other dashboard engineers to deliver reliable and scalable functionality.

Your Impact

• Build, enhance, and maintain Security and SD-WAN features in the Meraki Dashboard.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers, UX designers, product managers, and other developers to implement customer facing workflows and features.
• Write, test, debug, and maintain production code across frontend and backend components.
• Investigate and resolve bugs, defects, and customer-impacting issues with support from the team.
• Identify and address performance, reliability, and usability improvements within the dashboard.
• Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and team planning activities.
• Use AI assisted coding tools for tasks such as coding, debugging, testing, documentation, and learning.
• Develop knowledge of large scale web applications, distributed systems, networking, security, and cloud managed infrastructure.
• Work collaboratively with teammates to deliver a high quality customer experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Up to 3 years of experience writing production level code and tests.
• Experience building full stack web applications using backend technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Python, Node.js, Java, Go, or similar tools.
• Experience working with frontend frameworks like React, Redux, TypeScript, or comparable technologies.
• Ability to design, build, test, debug, and maintain well scoped product features within existing web applications.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server, including basic schema design and query development.
• Understanding of core software engineering practices including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, APIs, service integrations, and observability basics.
• Comfortable contributing to large scale systems with mentorship and technical guidance.
• Experience shipping product features and iterating based on feedback from users and stakeholders.
• Comfortable using AI assisted coding tools during day to day development.
• Curious about user needs and able to collaborate with cross functional partners.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to web development, DevOps, infrastructure, or performance and scalability improvements in production systems.
• Interest or experience in networking, security, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience building dashboards, monitoring tools, analytics views, or real time user interfaces.
