Graduate Trainee – Technical Content Writing

The Calix intern programs are designed to help participants build practical business skills, gain exposure to communications platforms, and contribute to a growing organization. The Graduate Trainee – Documentation role focuses on understanding complex information and transforming it into clear, structured, and easy-to-use content.

In this role, you will apply analytical thinking, effective communication, and AI tools to improve documentation and process understanding. The position offers hands-on experience in a consulting-style environment that emphasizes problem solving and collaboration.

Comparable industry roles include Documentation Specialist, Technical Writer, or Content Creator. Success in this role is measured by the ability to deliver accurate, high-quality content to stakeholders and create documentation by fully understanding processes and workflows.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Analyze information gathered from discussions, documents, and workflow processes
• Break down complex topics into simple, logical, step-by-step explanations
• Create and maintain clear, well-structured written documentation
• Use AI tools to research topics, summarize information, and improve content quality
• Collaborate with team members and incorporate feedback into deliverables
• Maintain accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all documentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Basic familiarity with AI tools and willingness to expand knowledge in this area
• Strong interest in pursuing a career in technical writing or documentation
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Understanding of technical concepts related to software, hardware, or processes is advantageous
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
• Ability to collaborate within a team environment and openness to feedback
• Eagerness to learn and continuously improve

This role follows a flexible hybrid work model in India, with employees expected to work from the Bangalore office for approximately 20 days in a quarter.
