Overview
As a Software Engineer, you will contribute to building a large-scale payment platform designed for high performance, precision, and reliability. The role involves working with a talented team to deliver features for both internal and external users while pushing the boundaries of backend technologies.
You will use modern cloud technologies and application stacks to develop efficient systems and collaborate with industry-leading fraud and risk analysis platforms. The role encourages continuous learning, innovation, and strong teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Develop clean and reusable code that is easy to read, maintain, and test.
- Create products that are scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant with automated failover capabilities.
- Operate and scale a rapidly growing product that is critical to business partners.
- Work with cross-functional teams to introduce new ideas and enhance existing Blackhawk systems.
- Collaborate with product architects, product owners, and stakeholders to deliver valuable capabilities to the platform.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with core Java and J2EE development.
- Strong knowledge of Java with hands-on experience using JDK 1.6 or higher.
- Familiarity with Spring and Struts frameworks and development of multithreaded applications.
- Experience implementing RESTful architecture and REST web services.
- Database design experience with DB2, Oracle, or MySQL and strong knowledge of SQL.
- Solid object-oriented design and development capabilities.
- Background in the finance or payments domain is an advantage.
