Purpose of the Role

This role supports various business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution.

Accountabilities

  • Support diverse business areas with daily initiatives including processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for operational processes.
  • Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on operational performance, communicating findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practices in banking operations.
  • Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Join Barclays as a Legal Matter Analyst to support the legal function by providing end-to-end Procure to Pay assistance. This involves managing external third-party spend, matters, and portfolios, and assisting with queries from internal teams and external vendors. The Legal Matter Analyst will be responsible for operational support to the Legal Function, serving as the primary contact for all Procure to Pay information. Responsibilities include eradicating Aged Debt with Relationship Accounts, ensuring Legal exceeds Payment on Time expectations, and establishing a robust monthly cadence with Legal Partner Firms, alongside managing usual work demands.

Assessment may include key critical skills relevant for success, such as procurement industry experience and job-specific skillsets.
