About the Role

The Global Technology division runs the critical systems and platforms behind the company's retail, commercial and institutional businesses. Teams build solutions in areas such as mobile and online banking, payments processing, technology infrastructure, cyber-security, risk and capital management and enterprise data management.

Skills exposure includes front end and back end development (Python, SQL, Java, JS, C#, C++, .NET, HTML, Linux/Unix, Oracle, Angular) and React JS.

Responsibilities

You will make sure software meets functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, with solutions designed for maintainability, easy integration and testing from the start. Key tasks may include:

• Gathering internal and external client requirements and turning them into technical design specifications and business process re-engineering
• Coding solutions and unit tests, and ensuring they integrate cleanly into internal banking applications with robust, well-tested interfaces
• Taking part in CI/CD delivery and release events, including branching, pull requests, issue triage, merge and conflict resolution, and release notes
• Documenting models and findings, and supporting data collation and processing for development and delivery
• Building proofs of concept to test new ideas or reduce risk
• Ensuring delivery meets technology expectations for functionality, quality, performance, reliability and timelines
• Working with global development teams and business partners across APAC, EMEA and AMRS on banking, trading and markets requirements
• Identifying, escalating and resolving incidents and issues

Foundational Skills

You will take hands-on part in the full software lifecycle, including requirements analysis, coding, testing and deployment. A good grasp of industry development and testing practices and design patterns for complex applications is expected.

• Basic proficiency in at least one of Java, C#/.NET, C++ or Python
• Experience with Agile methodology, process improvement, Excel and JIRA, with knowledge of Linux/Unix
• Strong written and oral communication and influencing skills

Desired Skills

• Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and cloud development
• Problem solving and quantitative skills

Campus Requirements

Candidates must be open to work in any shift, including night and rotational shifts, as business needs require. Students may be placed in any role suited to them after the interview and evaluation process.
