About the Role
MSCI is seeking an Associate Software Engineer – AI & Python to join its Sustainability & Climate Technology team in Pune. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying scalable AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for enterprise applications. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and the opportunity to work on high-impact projects that drive innovation and sustainability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, implement, and maintain robust AI/ML systems and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and leadership teams to shape AI strategies.
- Lead the design and deployment of machine learning, deep learning, and GenAI systems.
- Ensure scalability, resilience, and optimization in production-grade environments.
- Integrate cutting-edge GenAI techniques into real-world applications.
- Champion best practices in model training, evaluation, interpretability, and governance.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace Transformers, and Scikit-learn.
- Experience in building and deploying large-scale AI/ML systems (batch or real-time).
- Hands-on expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
- Knowledge of MLOps tools like MLflow, Airflow, Kubeflow, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.
- Experience with large-scale data processing using Spark or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI services.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Experience with multimodal AI (text, vision, audio) and contributions to research or open-source projects.
Education & Eligibility
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
