Associate Engineer at Otis Hyderabad | Software Testing

Job Responsibilities

The role involves software development activities related to engineering products. Candidates should be able to understand system requirements, define a software test design approach, develop test software according to coding standards, and validate the software.

The selected candidate will work with existing automation frameworks and participate in product testing and troubleshooting activities. The role includes involvement across the software development lifecycle, including concept, design, validation, and production.

There will be regular interaction with project management teams locally and globally, along with collaboration with customers across multiple time zones.

Preferred Education

Degree in Engineering or Master of Computer Applications.

Preferred Experience

0 to 2 years of software testing experience in a product-based company.

Essential Competencies

• Create test cases for detailed and high-level requirements
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts
• Knowledge of scripting or programming tools such as C#, Java, and Python

Desirable Competencies

• Hands-on scripting knowledge

Other Competencies

• Understanding of system testing methodologies and SDLC
• Ability to work in complex environments and learn new concepts quickly
• Interest in testing high-quality and complex systems
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision
