Role Overview
As an Android Software Development Engineer, you will design and build applications for the Android platform. The role involves implementing application requirements, maintaining design documentation, and contributing to ongoing improvements in the development process.
You will collaborate closely with software testing teams to ensure product quality and participate in code, design, and testing reviews. The position also involves proposing enhancements that improve application stability and long term maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop applications for the Android platform.
- Implement product requirements and maintain design documentation.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency.
- Work closely with software testing teams to deliver high quality products.
- Create automated unit and integration tests.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and test reviews.
- Recommend and implement improvements that enhance application sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in native Android development using Kotlin with Jetpack Compose.
- Knowledge of Java is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience working with CI/CD tools including Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitHub Actions.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and GitFlow.
- Experience writing automated tests using Espresso and Mockito.
- Working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and MVP.
