The team builds and maintains the technology behind Akamai's CDN, a highly distributed network used by organizations across social media, banking, streaming, and web services. The platform ensures scalability, fault tolerance, secure traffic handling, efficient routing, and detailed operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and high performance software used during major online events such as IPL.
• Develop and maintain systems using programming languages such as C or C++, along with scripting languages like Python or Perl.
• Investigate technical issues and analyze performance bottlenecks to determine root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Evaluate and implement initiatives focused on performance optimization and cost efficiency.
• Benchmark server metrics across different releases and hardware environments to maintain strong performance and quality.
• Develop, maintain, and improve internal tools and automation frameworks.

Requirements

• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
• Understanding of automation frameworks, data structures, computer networks, and operating system concepts.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C or C++, along with scripting using Python, Perl, or Shell.
• Exposure to Unix or Linux environments.
• Interest in internet technologies including TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability with attention to technical details.
