Job Description

Airbus has started its Digital journey, with the goal of transforming the company and preparing it for the future. This transformation covers new global governance, new ways of working, and the rollout of digital business services and platforms.

As part of this journey, Airbus has set up a GIC in Bangalore, often called the Silicon Valley of India. This GIC is responsible for driving IT excellence for Airbus.

We are looking for motivated people with strong English communication and problem solving skills. The ideal candidate can understand complex systems and processes and is comfortable working with everyone from operational staff to senior management, both inside and outside IM.

About the Team and Role

The internship lasts up to 6 months.

Technical Skills

• Any programming knowledge in C++, C#, TypeScript, Node, React, JavaScript, Foundry, Java, HTML, CSS, Python, shell, or Perl is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of database management is an added advantage.
• Willingness to switch between domains and skills, and to learn tools, processes, business analysis, and stakeholder management.
• Willingness to collaborate and work across teams.
• A keen interest and basic skills in AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with technical leads, product managers, architects, operational teams, and security experts to publish IM Security Standards and blueprints across the Airbus Group worldwide.
• Act as the IT/IS Security focal point in your domain.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the Airbus IM organizations.
• Ensure good reporting on your activities.

Success Metrics

As the successful candidate, your main tasks and accountabilities are:

• Understand Airbus business and processes so you can discuss security risk and mitigation.
• Understand cyber vulnerabilities and connect them to risk.
• Help build robust products for customers.
• Bring an agile mindset, a collaborative approach, quick response to operational issues, and a focus on SLA fulfillment and service availability.

Other expected strengths include a customer-first mindset, crisis management, and effective conflict management.
