Physical Design & Integration Internship
Looking for a student internship that validates your degree and launches your career? Airbus India in Bangalore has opened an internship in the Physical Design & Integration department. It is an internationally recognized company with a presence on every continent and a diverse mix of backgrounds, expertise, and cultures, with a strong focus on digital and on research and innovation.
The internship is planned for 6 months and should start in January 2027, though the start date may be flexible. Your main work will cover analysis and optimization/design for:
- Understanding of system installation and electrical architecture of cabin and airframe
- Functional electrics
- Cabin assignment module
A tutor will help you define your professional goals and build your skills.
What you will develop
- Knowledge of the aircraft build process and a basic understanding of aircraft systems
- Agility and autonomy in a transnational environment
- Ability to work as part of a highly collaborative team
- Ability to coordinate the efforts of a large team of diverse specialists and experts
- DMU understanding and navigation of product structure
- Good understanding of aircraft function, operation and processes
Requirements
You should be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Civil or Electrical Engineering.
Technical skills:
- Knowledge of aircraft industrialization principles
- Knowledge of the aircraft build process, including configuration management principles
- Knowledge of systems installation and various systems (e.g. electrical, mechanical)
- Knowledge of production management and manufacturing processes
- Data analytics skills are an added advantage
Soft skills: team spirit, proactivity, autonomy, and good communication and stakeholder management.
Language: fluent English.
