An internship in Digital for Corporate Analytics has opened at Airbus India in Bangalore, within the IIDM department. This is ideally a 6-month internship starting in January 2027, though the start date is subject to flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the end-to-end design lifecycle, including wireframing, user journey mapping, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Assisting in designing user interfaces and user experiences for AI/ML tools, computer vision workflows, and complex enterprise platforms.
• Helping organize and run qualitative and quantitative user research, contextual interviews, and usability tests with end users and technical teams.
• Contributing to the maintenance, updates, and expansion of tokenized design systems and component libraries in Figma.
• Building interactive prototypes to communicate micro-interactions, layout flows, and visual hierarchy to developers and product managers.

What You Will Learn

• UX/UI design and rapid prototyping with industry-standard tools (Figma, ProtoPie, Framer).
• Human-centered design applied to AI-driven tools, complex data visualizations, and spatial interfaces.
• User research techniques, usability testing tools (e.g., Maze, UserTesting), and feedback synthesis.
• Scalable design systems and web accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2).
• Cross-functional collaboration in an agile environment with Product Managers and Software/ML Engineers.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Visual Communication, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Proficiency in modern design and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD).
• Solid foundation in information architecture, wireframing, micro-interactions, and visual design principles.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (HTML5, CSS/Tailwind, React components) to support developer handoffs.
• Familiarity with design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards (WCAG) is a plus.
• Portfolio or coursework showing UX problem-solving and visual design projects.
• Empathy, a passion for user-centered problem solving, and curiosity about emerging AI technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Fluent English.
