Job Title: Weight Data Verification and Validation Intern
Internship Duration: 6 months
The Mass Properties team at Airbus provides essential mass, center of gravity, and inertia data ranging from individual components to the full aircraft level across Airbus products. The team computes and maintains mass properties information throughout multiple phases of the aircraft design lifecycle.
Input data used for Mass Properties is stored in advanced Product Data Management (PDM) systems and comes from several sources including design teams, suppliers, and weight engineers. At times, the data can be inconsistent or lack robustness, creating quality challenges and increasing the time required for validation and engineering deliverables. Identifying inaccurate or inconsistent entries helps simplify the workflow and improves the reliability of data.
Airbus is looking for a motivated and detail oriented intern to support initiatives focused on improving weight data quality across aircraft programs such as the A320 Family, A330, and A350. In this role, you will help detect incorrect weight information by identifying anomalies and reintroducing accurate data into core systems using business rules, statistical analysis, and machine learning techniques.
The selected candidate should be available for the full six month internship period.
This role requires awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to integrity, supporting the company’s reputation and long term success.
Airbus promotes diversity and equal opportunity in the workplace. Applications are welcome from all backgrounds. Airbus will never request monetary payment during the recruitment process.
