Team Overview
The engineering team develops and scales platforms that power Agoda’s travel marketplace. Systems support search, pricing, booking, payments, and customer experiences for users across the globe.

The Opportunity
You will work as part of an agile engineering team as a Full Stack or Backend Engineer. The role involves contributing to systems that serve millions of users globally, 24/7.
This is a 6-month contract role based in Gurugram, India.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software solutions aligned with project needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical requirements and designs.
- Build solutions using frontend technologies such as React, Redux, and TypeScript, supported by backend technologies including C#, Scala, Kotlin, and private cloud systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
- Use A/B testing and data-driven methods for product decisions.
- Create reports and analytics using Hadoop, Grafana, and related tools.
- Build real-time monitoring systems for production applications.
- Take part in code reviews and contribute to coding standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, preferably with less than two years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in any stream with coding experience, or completion of a software engineering bootcamp.
- Knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, or Kotlin.
- Strong English communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to frontend, backend, or mobile technologies including React, Vue, Angular, Flutter, Kotlin, or native iOS and Android development.
- Understanding of CI/CD systems, test-driven development, clean architecture, and SOLID principles.
- GitHub or open-source contributions are a plus.
