SPARK Fellowship Internship
The SPARK Fellowship Internship at IIT Roorkee allows undergraduate students to conduct research under faculty mentorship. It aims to expose students to high-quality research and encourage them to pursue higher studies.

The program provides a stipend of ₹3000 per week. For a 6-week internship, this amounts to ₹18,000, and for 8 weeks, ₹24,000. This stipend is institute-funded.
Interns can access accommodation and mess facilities in the Bhawans at hostel rates. A temporary institute ID grants access to the library, sports, medical center, computer center, internet, and departmental research facilities.
How to Apply for SPARK
The application process is online and requires careful preparation:
- Check Eligibility: Confirm your degree, semester count, and CGPA meet the criteria.
- Prepare Documents: Gather your last semester marksheet, a photograph, a 250-word research statement, and a 1-2 page resume. Students from other institutes will also need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) upon selection.
- Register on the Portal: Create an account and fill in your details on the official SPARK application page.
- Select Faculty Preferences: Choose up to five faculty members you wish to work with from the available list.
- Submit: Upload all required files and confirm your preferences. You cannot change files after submission.
