Role Description
State Street Global Advisors (SSGA) is hiring an intern for its Fixed Income Cash & Currency Research team based in Bangalore. This internship offers an opportunity to contribute directly to the team’s research and investment initiatives by developing models, exploring financial data, and supporting the investment strategy process.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Fixed Income Portfolio Managers to conduct weekly market research and present findings to the team
• Support senior researchers by coding and implementing quantitative models using Python
• Onboard and explore new datasets to derive actionable insights
• Develop expertise in Quantitative Investing with a focus on Fixed Income instruments
• Learn core concepts and tools used in Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) research

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a proactive and analytical individual who demonstrates:

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• A willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced financial environment
• The ability to work well in a team setting and communicate findings effectively
• Solid programming skills and a keen interest in analytics and finance

Preferred Knowledge and Experience

• Prior exposure to or understanding of the Asset Management industry
• Familiarity with Fixed Income asset classes and their characteristics

Technical Skills Required: Python, R, Data Analysis, Quantitative Modeling, Fixed Income Basics, Research Writing, Communication Skills
