Job Description

The Information Security team safeguards the company’s digital infrastructure by designing, implementing, and improving cybersecurity architecture. This position focuses on protecting infrastructure, cloud systems, edge devices, and company data from unauthorized access, modification, or damage.

The role involves identifying potential threats, managing security initiatives, and building solutions that support the entire organization. Candidates should be technically inclined, security-minded, eager to learn, and capable of independently managing projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop proficiency with security tools across multiple domains including network, cloud, email, threat detection and response, and compliance.
• Analyze and remediate suspicious or malicious events within ticket queues using SIEM, email security, and network security tools.
• Review and respond to internal IT requests and approval tickets.
• Handle security-related communications from users, vendors, and sponsors, including reported threats, vendor breaches, and verification of file or email safety.
• Maintain the informational assets database and coordinate review processes to ensure proper permission levels.
• Conduct security audits to verify adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Research complex technical topics and prepare documentation related to vendor proposals, policies, and security recommendations.
• Support Information Security Engineers on organization-wide initiatives such as security technology deployment, compliance requests, and collaboration with other IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Information Technology.
• Prior internship or co-op experience in Information Security or a related security field.
• Experience working with or maintaining technologies such as:

• SIEM platforms
• Endpoint Detection and Response solutions
• Cloud environments including Microsoft Azure
• Privileged Access Management and Identity Access systems
• Active Directory

• Strong communication skills, ability to collaborate in small teams, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Basic scripting knowledge using tools such as PowerShell or Python.

Nice to Have

• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools such as Nessus or Tenable.
• Knowledge of enterprise web proxy tools, web filtering technologies, and VPN solutions.
• Experience with email security platforms.
• Understanding of firewall technologies and network architecture.
• Experience managing Windows environments including GPO and server administration.
• Background in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or defense, with familiarity with standards like ISO, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR, or SOC Type 2.
• Experience with auditing processes and policy documentation.
