Associate Analyst, Legal Compliance
As part of Mastercard Prepaid Management Services’ Compliance Team, this position focuses on completing due diligence for both potential and existing clients and assigning suitable settlement limits during the onboarding process.
The role covers multiple areas of accreditation related to Anti Money Laundering (Know Your Customer) requirements and settlement limit management. The team works closely with different business units, and the selected candidate will mainly manage the initial accreditation of prospective clients along with ongoing re-accreditation, regular reviews, and reporting. Participation in meetings representing the Client On‑Boarding Team is also expected.
Key Accountabilities
KYC (Know Your Customer)
- Complete KYC accreditation for new external relationships in accordance with Mastercard Prepaid Management Services AML policy.
- Review and interpret external Anti Money Laundering reports.
- Conduct periodic reviews of existing relationships within defined timelines.
- Maintain records using BvD, the organization-wide online tool.
- Maintain electronic documentation for all active clients.
- Monitor global markets for financial or AML risk and provide recommendations to management where necessary.
Settlement Limit Management
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of potential external partners and approve credit limits in line with finance policies.
- Interpret reports from credit agencies.
- Review audited financial statements.
- Monitor credit reports for existing relationships and adjust limits according to finance policies.
- Carry out scheduled credit reviews within required timelines.
- Work with Client Financial Services to evaluate risks related to client non-settlement and take appropriate action.
