CME Group is Hiring Site Reliability Engineer I (Bangalore)

CME Group is looking for an SRE I to start their career within the Customer portfolio. This entry-level role is an opportunity to learn how to build, operate, and scale the systems behind CME's Customer and Clearing platform. These systems combine low-latency performance with strong reliability, and the role offers a chance to learn the work from the ground up.

You will be mentored by senior engineers and trained on how we observe, monitor, automate, and improve the reliability of production services in a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn from senior engineers and help build observability, monitoring, and alerting for key services.
• Shadow senior engineers as they work with product teams to understand the reliability and scalability needs of new features.
• Write and maintain basic scripts and tools that reduce toil and improve engineering velocity.
• Take part in our blameless post-mortem culture to drive continuous improvement.
• Assist with DR (Disaster Recovery) and systems resiliency testing.
• Support the migration of Customer and Clearing applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• After training and mentorship, begin shadowing and then join the on-call rotation with direct support from senior engineers.
