Role Purpose

The role focuses on designing, testing, and maintaining software programs for operating systems or applications that are deployed at client environments. The position ensures solutions meet defined quality assurance standards and function reliably.

Key Responsibilities

Understanding Requirements and System Design

• Study business and technical requirements to support software or product design.
• Develop solutions by analyzing system flows, data usage, and operational processes.
• Investigate problem areas and follow the defined software development life cycle.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system issues and identify improvements that enhance system performance and availability.
• Translate client requirements into feasible design specifications.
• Work closely with functional teams and system analysts to examine software requirements.
• Coordinate with project managers to understand software capabilities and project scope.

Software Development and Coding

• Evaluate requirements and determine operational feasibility during development.
• Develop and automate validation processes by creating and executing test cases, scenarios, and usage cases.
• Modify existing software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, improve performance, or update interfaces.
• Analyze technical information to recommend new system installations or enhancements to existing systems.
• Ensure code quality by minimizing defects and addressing test failures.
• Prepare reports related to programming specifications, development activities, and project status.
• Maintain coding standards and document replication patterns as defined for the project or program.
• Create accurate documentation and reports when required.
• Coordinate with team members to track daily project progress and status.
• Provide usability and serviceability feedback, highlighting potential quality risks to stakeholders.

Status Reporting and Customer Interaction

• Capture client requirements and clarifications to maintain work quality.
• Collect feedback regularly to support timely and smooth delivery.
• Participate in training programs and learning initiatives to stay updated with new programming languages and industry practices.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to evaluate software and hardware interfaces and define specifications.
• Document and present solutions through flowcharts, diagrams, layouts, and well-commented code.
• Maintain structured documentation from client proposal stage to implementation.
• Ensure professional communication with customers through email, issue tracking, and calls.
• Respond promptly to client requests and maintain a high standard of service.

Performance Measures

• Continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring of software with adherence to release schedules.
• Delivery quality, issue troubleshooting, and positive customer experience.
• Timely completion of MIS and project reporting requirements.
