About the Role
Kaleris is a private equity backed software company focused on supply chain optimization and headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The company provides supply chain execution solutions that help industrial and finished goods shippers and carriers modernize operations. Its platforms address challenges related to yard management, shipment visibility, and asset management across rail, truck, and multimodal transportation.
Kaleris is looking for a Software Engineer to join its team in building the next generation of transportation and logistics software products. In this role, you will contribute to developing new features and applications while collaborating with colleagues to define requirements and deliver modern software solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly are important for success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements and design software solutions according to specifications.
- Develop and maintain software programs for new and existing product capabilities.
- Create and maintain user interfaces, algorithms, data structures, test cases, and test suites for various product modules.
- Provide technical support for both new features and existing functionality.
- Share development progress and status updates with supervisors and teams in India and the USA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Strong object oriented programming knowledge and familiarity with performance technologies.
- Proficiency in debugging tools, ideally using Visual Studio and Code Warrior IDEs.
- Ability to identify and automate unit or functional tests using standard or proprietary tools.
- Strong analytical capability with effective debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Good verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience with source code control systems such as SVN, CVS, VSS, or similar tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to logistics or container terminal management systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of real time graphical application development is considered an advantage.
- Occasional international travel may be required to visit customers or other offices.
