The company is looking for a Software Engineer to join the team responsible for developing the next generation of transportation and logistics software products. In this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues to define project requirements and build advanced software applications. The position requires strong learning ability and effective communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements and design software programs based on defined specifications.
- Develop and support new as well as existing product features.
- Design and maintain user interfaces, algorithms, data structures, test cases, and test suites for product modules.
- Communicate progress and development status to supervisors located in India and the United States.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science.
- Strong object oriented programming knowledge and understanding of performance technologies.
- Experience debugging applications using tools such as Visual Studio or Code Warrior IDE.
- Ability to identify and automate unit or functional tests using standard or proprietary tools.
- Strong analytical capability and troubleshooting skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Familiarity with source code control systems such as SVN, CVS, VSS, or similar tools is an advantage.
- Exposure to logistics, container terminals, or transportation management systems is preferred.
- Knowledge of real time graphical application development is considered beneficial.
- Occasional international travel to customer locations or other offices may be required.
